Auburn Lake Trails offers a wide range of recreation and community facilities. Explore highlights below.

 

Playing Courts

Two locations for tennis/pickleball: Rec Lake and Westville Park.

Westville Park: double court with night lighting

Rec Lake: single court + basketball court

Cost: $10 one-time fee for a key

 

Diehl Field

A beautifully maintained field for community play and events. Includes multiple courts and picnic space.

Golf Course

A 9-hole par-29 course sanctioned by the NCGA. Members play at no charge; guests pay a fee prior to play.

Indian Bow Lake (Rec Lake)

Sandy beach areas, playground and picnic facilities. Limited non-motorized boating and fishing in designated areas.

Playgrounds

Two playgrounds: one at Indian Bow Lake and another at Westville Park. Picnic tables available for family enjoyment.

 

Campground

A “wilderness” hideaway with restrooms and water/electrical hookups to camper/trailer pads at reasonable rates.

Reservations required through Community Services

Pool

Heated pool and un-heated wading pool located at Westville Park. Home to the Dolphins Swim Team.

Open: May – September

 

Hiking & Riding Trails

Hundreds of miles of established hiking and equestrian trails are directly accessible from Auburn Lake Trails.

Includes Wendell T. Robie Trail and Western States Trail

Staff maintain 20+ miles of trails within the boundary

No motorized or non-motorized vehicles allowed

 

Horse Boarding

Enclosed stables and open paddocks are available. The arena hosts occasional horse events through the local Silver Spurs club.

One horse paddock: $128/month

Two-horse paddock: $193/month

Stable (one horse): $88/month

Larger tack rooms (no feed): $25/month

Self-service feeding/cleaning; water available

  
 


RV Storage

A small fenced lot is available to store recreational vehicles and “toys” for an extra monthly fee.

 
 

Barnloft

The largest facility, used for many community events including Foothill Follies, luncheons, dinners, and Town Meetings. Available for private rentals (weddings, receptions, etc.). Includes a stage, wood flooring, and a fully equipped warming kitchen.

 

Lakeside Clubhouse

Located by the Pool, Westville Park and Golf Course on Westville Trail. Available for private rentals and includes a fully equipped warming kitchen.

 

Library

The Cleary Library (est. 1978) is a volunteer-run resource for the community, currently open three afternoons a week.
